DESCRIPTION:The Keller Theatre invites you to audition for “Ghost Writer”\, a comedic thriller by David Tristram. \nWhen: \nTuesday\, 26 August 2025 \nThursday\, 28 August 2025 \nTuesday\, 2 September 2025 \nat 7 pm \nWhere: Kleine Bühne\, Bleichstraße 28\, 35390 Gießen \nWe need… \nActors:\n 3 women and 3 men. Ages: flexible\, but preferably… \n\nEdward\, male lead\, 45+\nAlex\, Edward’s friend\, roughly the same age\nRuby\, Edward’s wife\, 35-40\nGlenda\, a friend of Alex’s\, 25-30\nFrances (only 2nd half)\, 45+\nHedley (only 2nd half)\, 50+\, bald head preferable\n\nProduction helpers: \n\nassistant director\nstage manager/hands\nlight & sound operators\n\n  \nRehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some Saturday mornings. \nEverybody is welcome\, no experience or preparation is needed. \nPerformance dates: \n6\, 13\, 14\, 20\, 21\, 27 and 28 March 2026 \nAbout the play: \nEdward is a playwright and husband of the tempestuous actress Ruby. Tragically\, Ruby is found dead in bed after the last night of their theatre’s Hamlet. A year later\, Edward remains deeply affected and has moved into the attic room of one of his oldest actor friends\, Alex. Edward needs a new play for the company but is suffering from writer’s block. On the brink of despair\, he receives help in an unexpected form and ultimately learns the true cause of Ruby’s death.
